Our Story

Ramsey's Side of the Story

I met Tiffany shortly after moving to Orange County in the summer of 2023. I had just joined the young adult ministry at Holy Family in Orange, CA, and noticed Tiffany the first time I saw her. Immediately, it was clear that she was the glue that held the group together. She was kind, a strong leader, and had a deep knowledge of the faith. I couldn’t help but be drawn in to get to know her better.

Eventually, I got the chance to work with her more closely to plan things with our ministry and friends. Seeing how seriously Tiffany took “doing things right” while filling evenings of planning with her laughter and expressions of joy were the highlights of many weeks. More and more, looking forward to seeing friends meant looking forward to seeing her.

As I grew closer to Tiffany, I learned that we believed in the same simple love, as well as what we both wanted to give and receive from our future spouse. Eventually, when the time was finally right, I worked up the courage to find out something we had both known for a long time. That we both had fallen in love with each other.

There is so much of our story not written here that I cherish daily. So many moments big and small. It is impossible to write them all. Some are best saved for later laughter with you, our dear friends. Some are impossible to share. You had to be there. Tiffany, I love you.

Tiffany's Side of the Story

When I first met Ramsey, we were sitting across a wooden table in St. Joesph’s room. He was new 😊, and we introduced ourselves to each other. Immediately, I was confused by the whereabouts of his origins. “Oh, so you’re from Texas.” “No, I’m from Virginia.” “So, you were born in Virginia?”, “No, I was born in Ohio”, “But you were raised in Virginia?”, “No, I was raised in Florida” ➡️ 😭😭😭

After a couple of short months, he volunteered to help join our leadership team. I value the friendship we built during that time the most. I enjoyed his company, how seamlessly he belonged in our circle of friends, how he’s such a boy’s boy, and how eager and willing he was to help the ministry in his own ways using his strengths and intellectual quirks. In those many months of serving together, I found myself missing him on the days he couldn't come, and feeling joyful whenever I could see and spend time with him. Those endearing moments of discovery in just how similar we were in our interests, beliefs, and desires in life, made me realize we were the perfect match for each other. I wanted to move the moon and stars when he shared he was leaving California.

Even though he moved away, I’m thankful the Lord brought him back to me.

Amid the months of absence in each other’s lives, Ramsey, unpromptedly, sent a text.

After a couple weeks of reconnecting, and two phone calls, we were eventually able to share our feelings with one another. We took some detailed notes on long-distance 📝🔌🪫 and well… now we’re getting married 😁💍
